Puzzle De Bowling is a two-player puzzle game released in Japan in 1999 by Nihon System, developed by Moss. Players utilize an eight-way joystick and three buttons to manipulate falling blocks arranged in patterns reminiscent of bowling pins. The objective involves strategically tossing these block formations towards the bottom of the screen, aiming for specific scoring zones—essentially attempting to “knock down” targets with your carefully constructed arrangements. Gameplay combines elements of puzzle solving and a unique take on the familiar concept of bowling. Each player controls one side of the screen independently, allowing for cooperative or competitive play as players try to outscore each other by clearing their respective areas. The game's visuals are simple but colorful, with a clear emphasis on the block-based puzzle mechanics. A prototype version of Puzzle De Bowling was reportedly intended for release on Sony PlayStation, though it never materialized. The game runs on a Motorola 68000 processor and utilizes an X1-010 sound chip.
