Punk Shot (US 4 Players)

Konami’s Punk Shot puts players in the middle of a fast-paced, street basketball competition. Released in 1990, this four-player game pits two teams of two against each other in arcade style gameplay. Using an eight-way joystick and two buttons, players control their characters to dribble, pass, shoot, and attempt to outscore their opponents on the court. The game’s aesthetic features a distinctive punk visual style, bringing a unique energy to the familiar basketball formula. Punk Shot includes a version specific to the US market which displays an anti-drug message screen. Beyond the gameplay itself, Konami released a soundtrack album featuring music from this title as part of their Game Music Collection series in 1991.
