Point Blank 2 (World, GNB5/VER.A)
Namco • 1999
Also known as: Gunbarl

Namco’s Point Blank 2 arrived in arcades in 1999 as an export release, known as "Gunbarl" elsewhere. This two-player shooter pits players against each other in a first-person gun battle, requiring precise aiming and quick reflexes to succeed. Utilizing Namco System 11 hardware, the game presents a straightforward competitive experience focused on direct confrontation. Players face off across various environments, engaging in intense shooting matches where accuracy is key. Point Blank 2 builds upon the foundation of its predecessor, Point Blank, while maintaining a similar gameplay style centered around gun-based action. A later System 12 version was released months after the initial debut. The game's legacy continued with the release of Point Blank 3 in 2001, and it saw ports to Sony PlayStation consoles as well as inclusion on compilation releases like “Gunvari Collection + Time Crisis.”
