Gameplay

Progress is a single-player shooter released in 1984 by Chuo Co. Ltd. Players command a tank as it advances through scrolling environments, battling waves of enemies from above. The gameplay centers around maneuvering the tank and using its machine guns to eliminate all opposition while avoiding collisions and incoming attacks. A crosshair guides turret aiming, adding an extra layer of precision to combat. The game presents a series of stages demanding skillful navigation and accurate targeting as you progress through each mission. Two Zilog Z80 processors power the visuals and sound, with General Instrument AY8910 chips providing the audio experience. Controlling the tank requires using an 8-way joystick and three buttons to manage firing and movement.
