Pop 'n Bounce is a two-player breakout game released in 1997 by Video System Co. Players control paddles at the bottom of the screen and must use them to bounce a ball upwards, breaking blocks arranged above. The gameplay centers around skillful manipulation of the dial controls to redirect the ball and clear all the formations from the playfield. This title runs on SNK's Neo-Geo MVS hardware but was not released for home consoles. The game features unique visual design and sound effects crafted by a team of artists and programmers, including Naoki Sakamura (also known as Nao Itamura) who composed the music. Players can compete against each other to achieve the highest score, though attempts to enter "SEX" on the high score table will be automatically altered to “NON.” This arcade game provides a straightforward yet engaging experience for fans of classic ball and paddle gameplay with a distinctly Japanese aesthetic.
