Step into the role of a law enforcement recruit in Police Trainer, a two-player shooting game released in 1996 by P&P Marketing. Using light guns for aiming and a single button for firing, players progress through training scenarios designed to hone their marksmanship skills. The gameplay involves targeting various objects and simulated threats presented on screen, simulating essential police officer drills. The game features increasingly challenging levels as trainees advance. Operator updates introduced later revisions included options for difficulty adjustment and gun calibration. With graphics rendered at a resolution of 394x240 pixels and utilizing a palette of 256 colors, Police Trainer offers a straightforward, competitive experience for two players seeking to test their accuracy. A sequel, Police Trainer 2, was released sometime later. The development team included Fred Heyman (electronics software & game design), Steve Boyer (art direction, game design, and audio) along with several others contributing to the 3D models, animations, sound, PCB layout, and voice acting within the title.
