Gameplay

Players match colorful bubbles in this engaging puzzle game from Taito, originally released on the Neo-Geo MVS hardware in 1994. Using a plunger mechanism, players launch matching colored bubbles toward a field of precariously stacked formations at the top of the screen. Successfully connecting three or more bubbles of the same color causes them to pop and fall, with the goal being to clear the entire playfield before the bubbles reach the bottom. A two-player mode allows for competitive bubble-busting action. This Neo-Geo version is a conversion of an earlier Taito B System game, maintaining the core gameplay while taking advantage of the MVS system's capabilities. Achieving high scores unlocks a special contest image containing a coded message. The original soundtrack from the game was later released on a limited edition album. The US release includes informational screens promoting recycling and discouraging drug use. This title marked Taito’s initial foray onto SNK’s Neo-Geo MVS platform, establishing the foundation for a long series of puzzle games.
