Gameplay

Players match colorful bubbles to clear the screen in this two-player puzzle game. Puzzle Bobble 2 / Bust-A-Move Again retains the core gameplay of its predecessors; players take turns launching bubbles from the bottom of the screen toward a cluster at the top, aiming to create chains and eliminate them. This Neo-Geo MVS conversion brings back elements lost in earlier North American releases, including the original characters and Puzzle Bobble themed levels. Originally released in 1995 as Puzzle Bobble 2, this arcade version represents an unusual "coin-op to coin-op" port, preserving the classic experience for a new audience on SNK’s Neo-Geo hardware. While known as “Bust-A-Move Again” in North America—and sometimes promoted as "Bust-A-Move Again EX"—the game maintains its Japanese title and assets. The competitive two-player mode allows for head-to-head bubble-busting action, adding a layer of strategic interaction to the already addictive puzzle gameplay.
