Gameplay

Navigate twisting mazes in Pass, a cooperative maze and collection game released by Oksan in 1992 for two players. Using eight-way joysticks and simple button controls, teams must work together to gather scattered items within the brightly colored environments displayed on a horizontal screen with a resolution of 320x224 pixels. The game’s visuals utilize a palette of 512 colors, contributing to its distinct aesthetic. The gameplay focuses on strategic coordination as players maneuver through the increasingly complex pathways, avoiding obstacles and assisting each other to secure all collectibles. Pass features sound effects drawn from another arcade title, Tumble Pop, combined with audio generated by Yamaha YM2203 and OKI6295 chips alongside a Zilog Z80 processor. The development team included Yun .H.S who handled hardware, software, and game design, along with graphics contributions from Bae .K.H, Sim .M.S, Jo .S.M, Yoo .M.S, and Ahn .Y.M, under the direction of boss Kim .Y.H.
