Paradise Deluxe
Yun Sung • 199?

Paradise Deluxe is a cooperative puzzle game for two players from Yun Sung, appearing in the mid-1990s. Players work together to uncover hidden silhouettes across sixteen stages, attempting to reveal at least eighty percent of each girl’s outline to advance. Monsters populate the screen and must be avoided while revealing these images; successful completion allows access to a bonus mini-game following each stage. These bonus games offer different rewards based on performance – a roulette game for less than ninety percent silhouette reveals, and a card matching game (similar to “Three Card Monte”) for higher scores. Winning the mini-games unveils progressive views of unique girls and unlocks portions of a larger background image displayed on the stage selection screen. Completing all sixteen stages gradually reveals this entire picture. The game features a vertical display with detailed graphics, utilizing a Zilog Z80 processor and two OKI6295 sound chips. Players control their characters using an 8-way joystick and a single button to navigate the challenges of each stage.
