Gameplay

Paradise debuted in arcades in 1994 from Yun Sung and presents players with a puzzle challenge for two contestants. Gameplay revolves around manipulating blocks to create complete outlines while photographic images are displayed throughout. The game shares mechanical similarities with "Gals Panic!" but utilizes imagery distinct from other games of its type. Players use an eight-way joystick to move a character across the screen, strategically positioning blocks to fill in shapes. A single button activates actions related to block placement and manipulation. Competition between players is central, as both strive to complete their assigned outlines first, introducing a layer of strategic interaction beyond solitary puzzle solving. The soundtrack for Paradise draws heavily from the popular "Lemmings" game, offering a familiar yet unique auditory backdrop to the visual presentation. A direct sequel, Paradise Deluxe, and later Paradise 2 Deluxe would follow this initial release.
