Othello Shiyouyo (J 980423 V1.002)

Challenge your friends to a strategic battle in Othello Shiyouyo, a tabletop game released by Success in 1998. This arcade version of the classic Reversi board game allows for up to four players to compete simultaneously. Using an eight-way joystick and six buttons, players take turns placing discs on the board, attempting to outmaneuver their opponents and flip their pieces to claim territory. The gameplay retains the core mechanics of Othello – surrounding your opponent’s pieces forces them to change color, ultimately aiming to control more of the board than anyone else. With its Sega Titan Video hardware, Othello Shiyouyo provides a digital rendition of this enduring game of strategy and foresight. The Japanese title translates to “Let's do Othello,” reflecting the straightforward invitation to engage in competitive play. Published on a Sega ST-V cartridge, the arcade cabinet offers a unique way to experience the depth and challenge of Reversi against multiple opponents at once.
