Ojanko Yakata 2bankan (Japan)

V-System’s Ojanko Yakata 2bankan presents a tabletop adaptation of Mahjong, released in Japan in 1987. Designed for two players, this arcade game blends traditional gameplay with a high school theme. Players utilize a dedicated keyboard to arrange and match tiles, aiming to create valid hands according to established Mahjong rules. The game builds upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, Ojanko Yakata, offering a refined experience centered around competitive tile matching. The title translates to "Mahjong Girl Second Mansion - Triumph in the Mahjong Match," hinting at a narrative element woven into the gameplay. Featuring sound chips from General Instrument and OKI, Ojanko Yakata 2bankan provides an authentic arcade feel for those familiar with classic Japanese tabletop games. It serves as the second entry in a series that would later expand to include Ojanko High School.
