Gameplay

Ninja-Kid II is a fast-paced platform and shooter scrolling game released in 1987 by UPL. Players take control of ninja characters as they navigate challenging levels filled with enemies and obstacles. Utilizing an eight-way joystick and two buttons, players jump, attack, and fight their way through the stages, aiming to progress deeper into the game's world. The cooperative gameplay allows for two players to team up and tackle the challenges together. Originally released in Japan as Ninja-kun Ashura no Shou, this title was also known by different names elsewhere, including “Rad Action” and "JT 104". Featuring a Zilog Z80 processor and Yamaha YM2203 sound chips, Ninja-Kid II delivers both engaging visuals and memorable audio. The game’s design is credited to Tsutomu Fuzisawa, with character designs by Fuzisawa and Akemi Tsunoda, and music composed by Fuzisawa alongside Mecano Associates. The game is part of a series that began with Ninja-kun - Majou no Bouken and continued with Vs. Ninja Jajamaru-kun. Later ports have appeared on the Nintendo Famicom and PlayStation 4 consoles, allowing players to experience this arcade action in different formats. A version for MSX computers was also released in Japan.
