Jaleco’s NEW Moero!! Pro Yakyuu Homerun Kyousou is a single-player baseball sports game released in 1988. Part of Jaleco's Moero series, the arcade title challenges players to hit home runs against increasingly difficult pitching. The gameplay focuses solely on batting; there are no fielding or other traditional baseball elements present. Players control a batter and must time their swings to connect with pitches thrown by professional Japanese baseball pitchers. Successful hits send the ball soaring across the screen, earning points based on distance and accuracy. As the game progresses, pitch speed and difficulty increase, requiring precise timing and reflexes to continue racking up home runs. NEW Moero!! Pro Yakyuu Homerun Kyousou joins a series of sports titles from Jaleco including earlier baseball games and other sporting challenges like tennis and basketball.
