Gameplay

Experience high-octane rally racing in Neo Drift Out - New Technology, a two-player driving game from Visco released in 1996. Players select one of three Japanese vehicles – the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, or Toyota Celica – each possessing unique handling characteristics. Races unfold from an overhead isometric viewpoint across diverse and challenging environments including urban streets, savannas, snowy landscapes, and more. Each race stage begins with a short practice run, followed by up to six timed races where players must reach the finish line before time expires. On-screen arrow prompts guide racers through upcoming turns while warnings alert them to hazards like ice patches, rocks, and rival drivers who can knock you off course. Shortcuts are scattered throughout each environment, offering opportunities for skilled drivers to gain an advantage. Running on SNK Neo-Geo MVS hardware, Neo Drift Out - New Technology utilizes a simple control scheme of an 8-way joystick and two buttons: accelerator and brake. This installment builds upon the earlier Drift Out series, providing a fast-paced and competitive racing experience for up to two players.
