Narc (rev 7.00)
Williams • 1988

Step into the neon-drenched world of Narc, a side-scrolling shooter where you play as a futuristic police officer tasked with dismantling a criminal drug empire known as K.R.A.K. Armed with machine guns and rocket launchers, players navigate through gritty urban environments like junkyards and city streets, battling waves of enemies including drug dealers, junkies, and aggressive attack dogs. Scattered throughout the levels are discarded drugs and money that can be collected for bonus points at the end of each stage; keycards must also be located to progress further. Narc features a unique mechanic: players can “confiscate” these items, adding another layer of gameplay beyond simply blasting away enemies. As you advance through the game’s diverse locations, including Sunset Strip and Mr. Big's office, expect intense action and visually striking graphics that pushed the boundaries of arcade technology at the time of its release in 1988. Two players can join forces to take on K.R.A.K., creating a cooperative experience filled with escalating challenges and explosive firepower.
