Konami’s Nagano Winter Olympics ‘98 delivers fast-paced competitive action based on the 1998 games held in Nagano, Japan. Up to four players can take turns competing across a variety of winter sports events including skiing, snowboarding, speed skating, and biathlon. Players control their athlete using a trackball and buttons to navigate courses and execute maneuvers, striving for the fastest times or highest scores within each event. This arcade title continues Konami’s long-running series of athletic competitions that began with Track & Field in 1983, building upon earlier games like Hyper Athlete. The game was originally developed in Japan as “Hyper Olympic in Nagano” and features a GX720 EAA hardware platform. It saw releases on both the Sony PlayStation and Nintendo 64 consoles shortly after its arcade debut. Experience the thrill of the Winter Games with this energetic, multiplayer sports challenge that tests your reflexes and competitive spirit.
