Gameplay

Navigate intricate, top-down mazes as a character known as Mustache Boy in this cooperative maze escape game for two players. Donning a distinctive red spacesuit, you must color all of the tiles within each level by running across them. Along the way, collect special items to eliminate pesky enemies and evade them through skillful jumps – including double jumps that allow access to otherwise unreachable areas. Points are earned by popping colorful balloons scattered throughout the maze; these balloons provide more than just points - some award letters, others offer bonuses like enhanced painting abilities or improved jump height. Successfully coloring all tiles advances players to the next increasingly challenging stage within a timed environment. Mustache Boy utilizes two Zilog Z80 processors and a Yamaha YM2151 sound chip to deliver its gameplay experience on a vertical screen with a resolution of 232 x 240 pixels, offering a vibrant palette of 256 colors controlled by an eight-way joystick.
