Musoubana is a 1995 tabletop arcade game from Nichibutsu and Yubis designed for three players. This unusual title combines traditional Hanafuda card gameplay with mature visual elements. Players face off against five female opponents, each presenting a series of challenges that must be overcome through rounds of Hanafuda. Success in each round earns points which can then be used to acquire advantageous items for subsequent play. After defeating an opponent, players participate in a memory card bonus game to further accumulate points and unlock more cheat items. Losing any round results in the game ending; however, players retain their progress, allowing them to continue from where they left off with all previously earned points and strip sequence progression intact. The game utilizes a specialized mahjong keyboard for player input, alongside sound chips including a Zilog Z80 and YM3812, delivering audio accompaniment during gameplay.
