Gameplay

Players control Ms. Pac-Man and another player controls a second Pac-Man character in this maze chase game, navigating four distinct playing fields to consume all the pellets scattered throughout each level while evading colorful ghosts. Unlike its predecessor, Ms. Pac-Man introduces dynamic bonus fruit that moves randomly within the mazes, adding an element of unpredictability to gameplay. The ghosts themselves exhibit varied movement patterns, preventing players from relying on memorized routines. Beyond the core gameplay, Ms. Pac-Man features a charming narrative presented through short intermission sequences depicting Ms. and Pac-Man’s courtship and the arrival of their child. These interludes offer a brief respite between rounds and add a unique storytelling element to the arcade experience. The game's design includes varied mazes each with its own layout, tunnel configurations and dot count; players must clear each maze multiple times before progressing to the next. The control panel features a standard joystick for navigation, and the cabinet artwork originally showcased painted side-art depicting Ms. Pac-Man and the ghosts, though later versions employed sticker graphics.
