Take on the role of a Luna City police officer in Moon Patrol, a fast-paced shooter where you pilot a moon buggy across a treacherous lunar landscape. Navigate horizontally scrolling stages, dodging craters, rocks, and mines while battling UFOs that drop bombs – some of which create new obstacles as they impact the surface. Your buggy is equipped with both a front cannon for clearing debris and a top-mounted turret to intercept aerial attacks, requiring strategic use of both weapons to survive increasingly challenging encounters. Progress through 26 checkpoints spread across five distinct stages, each marked by changes in scenery and escalating difficulty, from landmines to rolling boulders and rocket cars.
