Lord of Gun (World) is a two-player light gun shooter released in 1994 by IGS. Players face off across ten distinct stages, battling enemies with precise aiming and rapid firing. Unlike some contemporary shooters, Lord of Gun allows players to select any stage for replay, providing more flexibility than many games of the era. The visuals are presented through animated graphics, creating a vibrant and dynamic experience as you work your way through the challenges. The game's technical specifications include a Motorola 68000 processor alongside a Zilog Z80, complemented by sound chips delivering music composed by Julie Shen. Story elements were crafted by Wu Szu Chiang and Anthony, who also directed the project. The artwork was produced in collaboration with Wang Film Productions Co Ltd, and IGS’s own graphics department. Notably, Lord of Gun marked a unique moment for IGS as their only directly marketed game within the United States. Featuring contributions from a large team spanning programming, hardware design, and artistic direction, it represents an interesting point in arcade development from a Taiwanese manufacturer.
