Liquid Kids (World)
Taito Corporation Japan • 1990
Also known as: Mizubaku Daibouken

Liquid Kids is a cooperative platform fighter released in 1990 by Taito Corporation. Two players control young boys who can transform into water droplets, allowing them to navigate challenging levels and battle enemies. The gameplay involves running, jumping, and using the liquid form to reach new areas or evade obstacles while defeating foes with punches and kicks. A unique feature allows for brief transformations into powerful water forms to overcome certain challenges. This export version of the game features a "Winners Don't Use Drugs" screen specific to its release in some territories. Liquid Kids runs on Taito’s F2 system hardware, identifiable by board number K1100593A and prom stickers C49. Those seeking more detailed information about the gameplay experience should research the original Japanese version, "Mizubaku Daibouken." While originally appearing in arcades, Liquid Kids has since been included as part of compilation releases on Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Xbox consoles, as well as PC platforms. An unfinished port for Commodore Amiga was created but ultimately cancelled by Ocean Software before release, although the code eventually resurfaced within the community. A hidden feature can be accessed in demo mode: repeatedly pressing the bubble button reveals a cute teddy bear image on screen.
