Gameplay

Linky Pipe is a cooperative puzzle game from Eolith released in 1998 for arcade use. Two players work together to manipulate pipes on a shared screen, aiming to connect colored droplets with matching receptacles. Gameplay involves rotating pipe sections and strategically positioning them to create continuous pathways; successful connections clear the board and earn points. The visual style features bright, colorful graphics designed by Kim Mi Youn and animation from Park Jae Hyun and Koo Bon Jin. The game’s design emphasizes teamwork, as players must communicate effectively to solve increasingly complex puzzles. Character designs were created by Ryu Ki Deok, while music and sound effects were composed by Kang Woo Jin. Planning for Linky Pipe was overseen by Kim Mi Youn and Park Jae Hyun with management from Park Berm Seo. Ultimately, the goal in Linky Pipe is to clear each level’s puzzle layout efficiently, relying on coordination between both players to succeed.
