Last Striker is a two-player sports game released in 1989 by East Technology. Drawing inspiration from manga aesthetics, this soccer title puts players in control of teams battling for victory on a vibrant and stylized field. Using an eight-way joystick and three buttons, each player maneuvers their team members to pass, shoot, and attempt to score goals against the opposing side. The game’s technical specifications include a Motorola 68000 processor alongside a Zilog Z80, combined with sound capabilities provided by a Yamaha YM2610 chip. While known as Kyuukyoku no Striker in Japan, Last Striker offers a fast-paced and visually distinctive take on the classic sport of soccer for two players simultaneously. The game incorporates vocal samples from a "Cheer Girl," adding an extra layer to the gameplay experience. Programmed by a team including H. Ikeda and E. Ogura, and featuring graphics designed by T. Toshima and music composed by Takaro N, Last Striker provides a unique arcade soccer challenge.
