Konami 80's AC Special (GC826 VER. EAA)

Konami 80's AC Special is a two-player multi-game compilation released by Konami in 1998. This title presents a selection of classic arcade games originally developed for earlier Konami systems and packaged together on a disc and cartridge format utilizing the System 573 hardware. Developed in Japan, it was distributed internationally as an export release, offering players a chance to experience a curated collection of retro gaming experiences side-by-side with a friend. Gameplay involves selecting from the included games and then engaging in each one’s unique mechanics; expect action, strategy, and competitive play across various styles. The compilation draws its content from Konami's history, allowing players to revisit titles previously available in arcades during the 1980s. A console port of this collection later appeared on the Sony PlayStation as "Konami Arcade Classics" in 1999. Released in November of 1998, Konami 80's AC Special provides a nostalgic glimpse into Konami’s arcade legacy for those familiar with the original games and introduces them to a new audience.
