Gameplay

Knuckle Bash 2 is a two-player fighting game released in 1999, produced as an unauthorized copy of Toaplan’s original Knuckle Bash. Players choose from a roster of characters and engage in close-quarters combat against one another, or team up to face opponents simultaneously in cooperative versus mode. The gameplay involves punches, kicks, and throws, with the goal being to deplete your opponent's health bar. This version distinguishes itself from its predecessor through several alterations. Notably, it utilizes an OKI6295 sound chip instead of the YM2151 found in the original game, resulting in a different audio experience. The order of levels also differs and one character, originally requiring specific conditions to unlock, is immediately selectable at the start of play. The title screen presents a unique design compared to the authentic Knuckle Bash, marking this as a distinct bootleg release for those familiar with the original.
