Jitsuryoku!! Pro Yakyuu is a two-player baseball game released by Jaleco in 1989. The title translates from Japanese as “Power!! Pro Baseball,” and puts players in control of teams competing on the diamond. Using an eight-way joystick, you manage your team's offense and defense, controlling pitching, batting, fielding, and base running to advance runners and score runs against your opponent. The game features detailed graphics for its time, utilizing a palette of over one thousand colors across a resolution of 256x224 pixels. Jaleco employed the Mega System 1-A hardware platform, leveraging Motorola processors alongside Yamaha and OKI sound chips to deliver an immersive baseball experience complete with authentic sounds. This installment follows up on Jaleco's earlier baseball title, Moero!! Pro Yakyuu Homerun, and offers a competitive sporting challenge for two players seeking classic arcade action.
