Lovely Pop Mahjong JangJang Shimasho 2 (Japan)

Visco’s Lovely Pop Mahjong JangJang Shimasho 2, released in Japan in 2000, presents a unique take on the tabletop mahjong genre for two players. The game features matches against members of the musical group Tinkerbell, with victory offering opportunities to earn points through mini-games. These points can then be used within an in-game shop to acquire items that provide advantages during gameplay. Unlike its predecessor, this installment utilizes a camera control system rather than extensive animated sequences. Players can adjust the view up and down, occasionally zooming in for closer perspectives during encounters with the game's characters. The visuals were produced by AIC and Studio OX. The title translates to "Let’s Play Lovely Pop Mahjong Jong Jong 2," continuing a series that began with Koi Koi Shimasho - Super Real Hanafuda and includes Lovely Pop Mahjong JangJang Shimasho. Powered by a V60 CPU and an ES5506 sound chip, the game offers a distinctive experience for fans of tabletop games and anime-inspired visuals.
