Mahjong Hot Gimmick Integral (Japan)
Psikyo • 2001

Mahjong Hot Gimmick Integral is a tabletop arcade game released in 2001 by Psikyo, continuing the series’ distinctive take on the classic tile-matching game of mahjong. This installment brings together characters from all four previous games in the Hot Gimmick franchise for a competitive showdown between two players. The gameplay centers around traditional mahjong rules but incorporates unique elements and increased difficulty compared to earlier entries. Players compete head-to-head, aiming to deplete their opponent's funds through strategic tile play. Winning three consecutive rounds without forcing an opponent into financial ruin unlocks the next challenger; however, it also forfeits viewing a brief animated sequence associated with that player. Throughout matches, players can acquire and utilize special items to gain advantages against their rivals. Despite reusing animation assets from previous games, each character features a single, unique punishment scene triggered under specific circumstances within gameplay. Ultimately, the game concludes when one player exhausts all of their betting funds, marking defeat.
