Gun Master
Metro • 1994

Gun Master is a two-player fighting game released by Metro in 1994. Players control distinct characters locked in close-quarters combat, utilizing simple controls to execute attacks and evade opponents. Each character can shoot projectiles and jump to maneuver around the arena, creating dynamic exchanges between players. The game's design features contributions from a large team of programmers, artists, and sound designers. Released initially in Japan during December 1994, Gun Master represents Metro’s eighth arcade video game release. Gameplay revolves around direct confrontation with another player; there is no computer-controlled opponent. Movement is limited to jumping and positioning for shooting attacks utilizing the two buttons provided – one for firing and one for leaping. The game's visual style reflects the artistic direction of Yuta-papa, Sukekiyo, and others, accompanied by sound design from Famishin, Shadow, and Maz. Character designs were created by RX360 while Mototaka handled mechanical aspects of the game’s structure.
