Gun & Frontier (World)

Pilots take to the skies in Gun & Frontier, a cooperative vertical scrolling shooter released by Taito Corporation in 1990. Two players control aircraft as they navigate through challenging environments and battle waves of enemies. The game utilizes Taito’s F2 system hardware, providing detailed graphics for its time. Gun & Frontier is an export version of the earlier Japanese title, Gun Frontier, and presents a thrilling experience focused on aerial combat. Players work together to destroy targets while dodging projectiles and overcoming obstacles throughout each level. This game marks the first installment in a series that would later include Metal Black. Later compilations have brought this arcade action home, appearing as part of "Taito Legends 2" for PlayStation 2 and Xbox consoles, as well as PC.
