Guitar Freaks 2nd Mix Ver 1.01 (GQ883 VER. JAD)

Guitar Freaks 2nd Mix Ver. 1.01 is a two-player music game released by Konami in 1999 as part of their long-running GuitarFreaks series. Players use a guitar-shaped controller featuring colored buttons to match notes that scroll upwards on screen. Successfully pressing the corresponding button just as a note reaches the top allows players to complete sections of a song, effectively “filling in” missing parts and simulating playing along with the music. This installment utilizes Konami's System 573 hardware, combining both disc and cartridge technology for its gameplay. A limited-edition soundtrack album accompanied the game’s release shortly after it debuted in July of 1999. Guitar Freaks 2nd Mix builds upon the original GuitarFreaks title and serves as a direct predecessor to the Link Version and 3rdMix iterations, marking an important step within the franchise's evolution.
