Gameplay

Grand Tour is a two-player puzzle game released in 1993 by IGS. Gameplay revolves around manipulating falling blocks composed of various images; players rotate and position these pieces to create complete horizontal lines across the playfield, which then disappear. Similar to games like Columns, strategic thinking and quick reflexes are essential for clearing levels and preventing the stack from reaching the top. As players progress through each stage, they’re rewarded with depictions of women in scenic settings. The game utilizes a Zilog Z80 processor and a YM2413 sound chip to deliver its visuals and audio experience on a horizontal screen resolution of 512x240 pixels. Grand Tour offers a competitive element for two players, allowing them to simultaneously test their puzzle-solving skills against one another using eight-way joysticks and four buttons for control.
