Gameplay

Step onto the pitch in Goal! Goal! Goal!, a fast-paced soccer game for two players released by Visco in 1995. Choose from twenty-eight national teams and compete in a tournament format to determine the world’s best. The gameplay emphasizes skillful passing, strategic kicking, and aggressive defensive maneuvers like sliding tackles to overcome opponents and advance through increasingly challenging rounds of elimination. Players control their chosen team using an eight-way joystick and four buttons for actions such as shooting, passing, short kicks, tackling, and sliding. A unique power shot mechanic allows players to charge up a powerful kick by holding down the shoot button. This Visco title was originally released on SNK’s Neo-Geo MVS arcade system. Goal! Goal! Goal! delivers an authentic soccer experience without home console availability, maintaining the feel of a competitive arcade challenge. The game was produced by Tetsuo Akiyama and directed by Don Gabacho, with graphics designed by a large team of artists and sound provided by Act Japan.
