Gang Busters (set 1)
Konami • 1988
Also known as: Crazy Cop

Konami’s Gang Busters debuted in arcades in 1988 as an export release from Japan, originally known there as "Crazy Cop." This two-player shooter challenges players to navigate urban environments while confronting criminal activity. As law enforcement officers, players advance through distinct levels on foot, battling waves of enemies and utilizing weaponry to maintain order. The gameplay combines walking sequences with shooting action as players move along predetermined paths, engaging in close-quarters combat and longer-range firefights. Each level presents new enemy types and obstacles, demanding quick reflexes and strategic use of available firepower. Gang Busters provides a cooperative experience for two players simultaneously, allowing them to work together to overcome the challenges presented within each stage.
