Great Bishi Bashi Champ is a chaotic multi-game compilation released by Konami in 2002, featuring up to three players competing across a variety of bizarre mini-games. The game offers five distinct modes: Single Play for solo challenges, Team Play requiring cooperation between two or more players, Mini Game Select allowing players to choose from a selection of games, and both Time Attack and Score Attack modes which present unique gameplay based on speed and precision respectively. A constantly shifting difficulty system adjusts based on player performance, ramping up the challenge as you progress through the expansive collection of over one hundred randomly generated mini-games. Players will find themselves performing a wide range of tasks, from timed jumps to feeding cavemen or catching falling objects, all while striving for high scores and avoiding boos from an unseen audience. Failure to meet target scores results in a loss of "lives," represented as hands, leading to a brief opportunity to insert another credit before facing a Game Over. Unique among the Bishi Bashi series, this installment includes a game over animation and a wider selection of modes than its predecessors. The game's final stage provides an unexpectedly easy conclusion, regardless of prior performance, before presenting a score comparison table that determines player ranking and potential life preservation.
