Kaneko’s 2002 release, Gals Panic S3, is a two-player puzzle game built on the Super Nova system hardware. Players guide characters across the screen to reveal hidden areas of their bodies; success in each stage depends on covering a specified percentage of the girl's form while dodging obstacles and weaponry. Completing stages unlocks visual rewards, with partial completion triggering a posed image and full completion revealing an alternate pose. The gameplay involves careful maneuvering and strategic pattern recognition as players attempt to complete each stage. As a late entry in the long-running Gals Panic series, it continues the franchise's core mechanics while incorporating updated graphics and a new presentation style. Notably, the "SHOWTIME DX" image, previously an animated clip in earlier iterations, is presented as a still picture in this installment. Released in July 2002, Gals Panic S3 marked Kaneko’s final arcade game production before the company's bankruptcy. It represents the culmination of a series that began nearly a decade and a half prior, offering a familiar yet distinct experience for returning fans and a glimpse into Kaneko’s last endeavor in video games.
