Future Flash (set 1)
Hoei • 1980
Also known as: Laser Base

Future Flash is a two-player shooter and gallery style game released by Hoei in 1980. Players take turns defending a central base from waves of incoming projectiles launched by enemy ships. The gameplay involves strategically positioning defensive laser turrets around the base to intercept and destroy these attacks before they reach your defenses. Successfully eliminating threats earns points, but failure results in damage to the base – ultimately leading to game over if enough damage accumulates. The game utilizes a Zilog Z80 processor running at 4 megahertz. Future Flash was also exported to the United States under the title "Laser Base" by Amstar Electronics. Cooperative play allows two players to coordinate their turret placement and defense strategies for a more challenging experience.
