Funky Jet (World, rev 1)
Mitchell • 1992

Funky Jet is a cooperative platform game released in 1992 by Mitchell, under license from Data East Corporation. Players control characters equipped with jetpacks, allowing for aerial movement as they navigate levels and confront enemies. The core gameplay revolves around using punches and spin attacks to defeat opponents while traversing the environment. Two players can simultaneously engage in this run-and-jump experience, coordinating their movements and attacks. Each character’s jetpack provides a distinct advantage, enabling them to reach higher platforms and avoid hazards as they progress through the game's stages. Control is achieved using an eight-way joystick and two buttons for punching and spinning actions. The game utilizes a horizontal screen resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and features a palette of 1024 colors, powered by Motorola and Yamaha processors. Funky Jet was initially released in July of 1992 and distributed by Mitchell to facilitate export outside of Japan.
