Funcube 2 (v1.1)
Namco • 2001

Namco’s Funcube 2 arrived in arcades in May of 2001 as a follow-up to the original Fun Cube. This multi-game compilation provides three players with a variety of short, accessible video challenges presented within a single cabinet. Players will encounter diverse mini-games, ranging from simple reaction tests to puzzle elements and competitive scoring scenarios, all designed for quick play sessions and replayability. The game’s design emphasizes immediate engagement; there is no lengthy tutorial or complex controls to master. Each player can choose their own game within the compilation, encouraging a lively and varied gameplay experience amongst friends. Funcube 2 continues the legacy of its predecessor as part of a series that would eventually include five installments released between 2001 and 2002. As a medal game, players insert tokens to compete for high scores and rewards within each individual mini-game. The compact design and accessible gameplay made Funcube 2 a common sight in arcades during the early 2000s.
