Funcube (v1.5)
Namco • 2000

Namco’s Funcube (version 1.5) arrived in arcades in December 2000 as a multi-game compilation designed for group play. Up to three players can simultaneously engage with a variety of mini-games presented within the central cabinet. These games offer quick bursts of competitive fun, focusing on simple controls and immediate objectives. The Funcube system initiated a series of related titles— subsequent versions including Fun Cube 2, Fun Cube 3, Fun Cube 4, and Fun Cube 5 were released in the following years. As a medal game, players insert tokens to participate and compete against one another for the highest score across the selection of included games. The core appeal lies in its accessible gameplay and cooperative multiplayer experience; it’s easy to pick up and play with friends, offering a lighthearted distraction for arcade visitors.
