Football Champ / Euro Football Champ (World)

Experience fast-paced soccer action in Football Champ, a four-player arcade game released by Taito Corporation in 1990. Originally developed in Japan and later exported worldwide, this title lets you control your team through simple controls to score goals against opponents. This version replaces the USA and JAPAN teams with SPAIN and FRANCE, offering a different international flavor compared to its Japanese predecessor, Hattrick Hero. Players compete simultaneously on split screens, each managing their own squad in a race to outscore the others. The game is part of a series that includes titles like Taito Cup Finals and Hattrick Hero '94, showcasing Taito’s continued commitment to soccer-themed arcade experiences. A Super Nintendo Entertainment System port was released in the United States as Super Soccer Champ in 1992, while later versions found their way onto PlayStation 2 and PC platforms within the compilation Taito Legends 2. With its accessible gameplay and simultaneous multiplayer, Football Champ provided a lively arcade experience for fans of soccer games.
