Gameplay

Toaplan’s FixEight arrived in European arcades in 1992 and is known in Japan as "Legend of Hell's Hero." This shooter challenges players to navigate a series of scrolling stages while primarily moving on foot, although the ability to briefly shoot upward provides some aerial maneuvering. Up to three players can simultaneously control characters battling through challenging environments. The gameplay blends elements of traditional run-and-gun shooters with a unique walking mechanic, requiring precise movement and timing to avoid enemy fire and navigate obstacles. FixEight continues Toaplan's legacy following the earlier title Out Zone. A digital version is now available on computers via Steam.
