Final Lap R (Rev. B)
Namco • 1994

Namco’s Final Lap R concludes a long-running racing series that began over a decade prior. As a single player, you take on challenging circuits from around the world—Germany, Brazil, Hungary, and Belgium—in pursuit of victory. The game maintains the signature responsive handling characteristic of earlier titles in the franchise, requiring precise control as you navigate each track’s demanding layout. Players use a steering wheel, gear shifter with high/low settings, accelerator, and brake to manage their vehicle's speed and positioning. Successful navigation requires managing your gears and braking effectively to maintain optimal performance throughout each race. The graphics represent an advancement over previous installments in the Final Lap series. Released in Japan in early 1994, Final Lap R utilizes Namco System FL hardware and features a resolution of 288x224 pixels with a refresh rate of 60Hz and a palette of 8192 colors.
