Fight Fever / Wang Jung Wang (set 1)
Viccom • 1994

Eight initially selectable martial artists compete to become a Tae Kwon Do master in Fight Fever, a two-player versus fighting game released by Viccom in 1994. Players utilize an eight-way joystick and four buttons to execute light and heavy punches and kicks against their opponent, striving to defeat the eccentric Master Taekuk. Upon victory over Taekuk, he joins the roster of selectable characters, allowing for new match-ups as players then face off against the final boss, Karate Kenji. Fight Fever represents Viccom’s sole creation developed specifically for the SNK Neo-Geo MVS arcade hardware platform and is known in Korea as "Wang Joong Wang," which translates to “King of the Kings.” The game's title screen displays a Korean flag instead of flames when played with the Korean version. The controls are straightforward, consisting of an eight-way joystick for movement and four attack buttons assigned to light punches, light kicks, heavy punches, and heavy kicks – providing players with a range of options in their quest for martial arts dominance.
