Football Frenzy (NGM-034 ~ NGH-034)
SNK • 1992

Football Frenzy is a two-player sports game released in 1992 by SNK for their Neo-Geo MVS arcade system. Players compete as one of eight teams – with ten available overall – battling through a single-elimination tournament to determine the ultimate champion. The gameplay involves controlling players on offense and defense, attempting to advance the ball downfield and score touchdowns. Utilizing the standard Neo-Geo four-button control scheme, players execute various actions such as running plays, passing attempts, and tackling opponents. The game features a straightforward presentation focused on fast-paced football action. A team of designers and programmers at SNK contributed to the creation of Football Frenzy, with Eikichi Kawasaki serving as producer and Tomomi leading design efforts. Later releases brought Football Frenzy to the Neo-Geo AES home console and Neo-Geo CD in both Japan and North America.
