Fisherman's Bait - A Bass Challenge (GE765 VER. UAB)
Konami • 1998
Also known as: Bass Angler

Konami’s Fisherman's Bait – A Bass Challenge debuted in arcades in March of 1998 as an export release from Japan, originally known as Bass Angler. This two-player sports game puts anglers head-to-head in a test of fishing skill. Players use a custom arcade control set to cast lines, reel in catches, and manage their bait selection to try and outfish their opponent. The gameplay focuses on bass fishing, challenging players to land the biggest and most valuable fish. As a Konami System 573 title utilizing both disc and cartridge technology, Fisherman's Bait is the first entry in a series that would later include a Marlin Challenge game and a sequel. It established a foundation for Konami’s fishing arcade games of the late nineties.
