Fantasia (940429 PCB, set 1)

Fantasia is a two-player puzzle game released in 1994 that blends familiar gameplay with an adult theme. Players trace lines to reveal portions of a silhouetted image, aiming to uncover eighty percent within a time limit. The game draws inspiration from titles like "Gals Panic!", featuring photographic imagery of models throughout the experience. A unique mechanic introduces a visual tension; a bar at the top of the screen indicates the balance between a girl’s portrait and a monstrous form. Revealing sections of the silhouette shifts this balance, potentially triggering a monster image that forces players to restart the round if it appears. Strategic line drawing is key to managing this dynamic and achieving success. The cabinet features recognizable portraits of celebrities including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Michael Jackson, Peter Weller, Sylvester Stallone, and Harrison Ford, adding an unexpected element to the gameplay. Fantasia launched a series of sequels beginning with Super Model in 1994, followed by New Fantasia, Fantasia II, WOW Fantasia, and WOW New Fantasia.
